Born to celebrate Ferrari's forty years in 1987, the Ferrari F40 has become one of
the most famous cars of all time. It was the most extreme Ferrari of the late eighties
, unattainable by most, given the price and limited production. The aerodynamic l
ines were extraordinary and timeless, so much so that the F40 is still very modern today.
The materials used were also at the forefront. The engine was a 3000cc V8 that produced
478 horsepower; the car had an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 ”1. It was almost
a racing car, devoid of any unnecessary detail and suitable only for those who had driving
very good driving skills. The success of the F40, due to the genius of the engineer Materazzi,
meant that many more specimens were produced than were the initial intentions of the
company. Production ceased in 1992 with 1337 units manufactured.
